Name:Pronnoy Goswami
Bio:

Experienced software engineer with a fervor for crafting highly distributed and scalable systems, I embody the ethos of an “Effective Engineer”[1]. My mission is simple but powerful: to deliver meaningful and disproportionate impact with every endeavor.

Currently, working at Workday’s Data Platform, Observability and Insights organization. I’m architecting the future with “Pharos,” our next-generation observability platform. Pharos is set to redefine the landscape, aiming to be the epitome of a highly distributed, generic, reliable, scalable, and efficient telemetry platform for both internal and external stakeholders.

In my tenure at Microsoft’s Azure Compute, I pioneered a distributed, concurrent, low-latency, and reliable control plane architecture, essentially serving as the “Operating System of Microsoft Azure.” This role involved enabling critical scenarios for container lifecycle management, showcasing my knack for building foundational systems.

My journey has also woven through the fabric of esteemed organizations like PayPal and McKinsey & Company, where I honed my skills and contributed to impactful projects. Armed with a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech, I harbor a profound interest in distributed systems, computer vision, applied machine learning, and tackling large-scale optimization problems.

I believe that “Technology is one of the most powerful forces to democratize services around the globe.”
